The Eden Project 2012

We returned home to the UK for a week and visited a friend in South of Devon. Whilst there we were lucky enough to take the train down to the Eden Project in Cornwal-I have been wanting to go there for years! It was amazing! loved the local produce and food available at all their food outlets, the gardens and biomes to explore including rainforest plants (very hot in there!). In the rain forest biome we were able to walk right up to the top and look over all the plants and the waterfall. Outside, we explored the community gardens and the allotments set up to show simple ways of producing not only native food but food from all cultures from the sweet potato to the aubergine! Additionally, seeing their simple yet effective ideas on sustainability and community inclusion was very interesting and I hope I have taken many thoughts and ideas away with me. Here are some photos we took whilst there. I would say the trip down to Cornwall is worth it indeed : )
