Getting the chickens at market

We finally managed to get our chickens at a local market. Its every Thursday morning in the next town to us. A lovely, friendly old farmer had come from Thun with his chickens for sale. He sold a range of colours, red, brown, white, speckled and black. We plunged for one white one, one black one and one speckled (black and white).

The market was a busy one and we got there when it began at 9 am! We found him and went through which ones we wanted and he popped them in their boxes for us and money was exchanged with goodbyes at the same time. Then we began our 20 minute drive home to put them in their new home.
