Product Review: Marybelle Dairy

A local dairy ‘Marybelle’ sent me a delightful package to test the other day!

Marybelles is a fantastic local dairy who sell milk from local cows to many local companies and clients such as cafes, bakeries and restaurants. All their milk is produced in Suffolk and Norfolk – another great local food business!

In my pack was a great selection of fresh Yoghurt’s, Cream Fraiche, Natural yoghurt, Greek yoghurt, Double cream and Whipping cream. The Cream Fraiche we used to have with puddings and desserts – went fantastically with home-made apple and pear crumble! The Natural and Greek Yoghurt was great on cereals or with fruit in the mornings for breakfast – both was creamy and rich : ) The Greek Yoghurt was actually voted the Great Taste Award 2013 Supreme Champion!

The double cream was great for savoury dishes too – used to make Alpine Macaroni meal. It enriched the dish and it was great to know that the cream was sourced locally. The whipping cream was great used with an assortment of desserts, tarts and cakes.

The Yoghurt’s were the biggest winner for close family and myself – rich, creamy and moreish! Toffee, Natural, Vanilla, Strawberry, Lemon and Forest Fruit flavours gave us good choice and each flavour was both subtle and enjoyable to eat.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with the selection kindly given by Marybelle to taste and try – all I can say is great providence, great produce! : )
