Product Review: Stokes Sauces!

I am so excited about reviewing lots of great local produce – which is made by local businesses and produced in East Anglia – my homeland!

I got a wonderful goody box delivered the other day by Stokes Sauces. Stokes produce their sauces and condiments in small batches to make the flavour great! All the sauces are made here in Suffolk and are made to traditional recipes. Also, another plus point is that the eggs used for items such as the mayonnaise are all British Free Range. Stokes Sauces is based in Woodbridge, Suffolk so as local as you can get!

In the box I received was 1 each of:

  • Garlic Mayonnaise
  • Fig Relish
  • Tomato Ketchup
  • Red Onion Marmalade

We then got to the fun part of trying each of them!

My partner is a tomato ketchup connoisseur and was very impressed with the Stokes Tomato Ketchup with his chips – juicy and rich in tomato flavour! I dipped my home-made chips in the Garlic Mayonnaise for dinner one eve – tasty! very garlicky like an Aioli and made you want more! Also the fig relish and red onion marmalade were grand with cheddar cheese in a sandwich for lunch and were tasty and true to their ingredients.

Overall, I was very impressed with the high standard of these local products, their good quality ingredients and lastly, the good customer service! : ) Look forward to sharing these with the family : )
